Don Julio is a Tequila brand and distillery in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco in Mexico. It is both highly regarded critically and one of the best-selling Tequila brands in the world. The company is named for its founder, Don Julio González-Frausto Estrada, who began to distill Tequila in 1942.

Using the finest blue agave plant and a time honored distillation process, Don Julio Blanco Tequila is tequila in its truest form. Don Julio Blanco Tequila is the base from which all of our other variants are derived. Commonly referred to as “silver” tequila, its crisp agave flavor and hints of citrus make it an essential component to a variety of innovative drinks including margaritas. It can also be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

The nose is bright and sassy with fresh agave aromas bolstered by some lemon and grapefruit. A little smoke accompanies pear and citrus peel on the palate. The flavors persist on the finish with agave making a return appearance, along with some lingering pepper. The blanco is a stainless first in glove of terciopelo - seductive and velvety on the surface, steely and smart on further acquaintance.
