This is a 5 year old Japanese single malt from the White Oak distillery - not one of Japan's most well-known whisky producers outside of the country, but an excellent one nevertheless. This expression was allowed to mature in red wine casks before bottling at 50% ABV, imparting a bounty of dark fruit sweetness to the whisky.
