Country of Origin: Italy

Grape:  Franconia, Pinot Nero

Alcohol: 12.5%

Jermann is a wine producer located in Fruili-Venezia Giulia. The estate was founded by Anton Jermann, a native of Austria, who settled in Italy and continued producing wines as he had done in his homeland. Today the Jermann estate has around 170 hectares (420 acres) under vine on sandstone and marl soils.

This wine is produced from 90% Franconia and 10% Pinot Nero. It is aged in barriques of French oak for 16 months to soften its tannins.

The color is an intense ruby red followed by a well balanced nose, with herbaceous notes and nuances of underbrush. The palate is dry, elegant and with great harmony of components which is supported by a medium bodied intensity.
