Château La Serre is a seven-hectare (17-acre) Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé wine estate situated a short distance east of Saint-Émilion town in northeastern Bordeaux. Merlot is the most prolific grape variety in the vineyard, occupying 80 percent of the total hectarage. Cabernet Franc makes up the remainder. The vines are on average 35 years old and are planted on south-facing limestone slopes.
